We’ve all had it, right? The droning in our ears of someone who thinks we won’t make it in our chosen field, won’t be the sportsman we hoped for, won’t be able to afford to buy that new car, etc. We’ve all heard it before, haven’t we?
The great abyss of depression can get to us when this happens, and trust me, it’ll happen.
I saw this again this morning, comments pointed at me regarding my company and what we do (as many will know, I firmly believe we are the best, so this certainly rubs me up the wrong way).
Instead of getting immediately mad, which if I’m honest, was my first reaction, I made a decision to never focus on the negativity, but see how I could reach them aswell. Let me explain:
1. No Negativity Allowed!
Someone can say bad things about you, your company, your brand, and your immediate reaction will be anger and disgust. Let it go. That negativity and focus on what was said will hurt you more than anything, and as you know, “where focus goes, energy flows”. I’m sure as hell not going to win if I’m sending all my energy to my competitor, or even worse, someone that’s criticising me that will never be in my position. “You will never reach your destination if you stop to throw stones at every dog that barks.” Winston Churchill
2.The “Rule of Thumb”
Instead of putting negative energy to your hater that will be as useful to you as hugging a cactus, make sure that they see your mug every second that their eyes are open every day. It’s a rule I learned from Grant Cardone . Make sure that your brand gets so big that no matter what they said to you, from the moment they now open their eyes in the morning until they close them, you’re there. Create omnipresence for yourself and your brand. 100% commitment to be infront of everyone everyday will absolutely grow your brand and your lovers instead of haters.
Those are my two, top, simple tips to absolutely put the haters in their place.
Look out for our next post tomorrow!
P.s. If you’re one of my haters reading this, It’s clearly working 😉
